The debate between human made content vs AI content within this industry has been a talking point for some years now and the definitive answer has not been decided yet.
There are many benefits to both styles of creating content as both have their merits , there will always be a conflict of interest between the creators and the consumers but as long as the human technological race evolves , AI will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
The main purpose for AI is to enhance the speed, the precision and effectiveness of human effort and the uses that it has become apparent for within the creative industry is certainly impressive but I think it’s rooted in the need for humans to escape the menial tasks we are presented with.
Creativity is in its nature an expression of human emotion so for an artificial entity trying to replicate or create this can prove to have some flaws and drawbacks. The first is the authenticity of the product as it is near impossible to get the genuine emotion and passion into your project when using AI. There are opportunities for humans to release experience, talent and thoughts whereas AI learns from its prompting.
Prompting the AI is an actual technical skill in itself , there is endless research and understanding to prompt the AI if you want the appropriate results and some would argue this is time you could’ve spent creating the project yourself , for example we have been experimenting with AI reproduction of original human made content made by us , we wanted to see the alterations and complexity that AI could implement to change the aesthetics of the video whilst maintaining its artistry
You can see that the visuals and color palette have changed drastically with there being a vibrant neon aesthetic added to this example, but at the same time there is a utopic plastic nature to the altered video as AI isn’t partially skilled at adding human imperfections which add a lot of personality and stimulation to the viewing experience.
In summary , there is absolutely a place for AI within the creative industry as it adds a fast paced high result impact to both existing and newly produced content but there is a level of human nature that cannot be replicated as these are present within the flaws and emotion one injects into their work.
